A red lip is synonymous with confidence, glamour and sophistication and all women want to know how to achieve that stunning red-carpet look. Now it’s even possible to create a beautiful red lip with natural makeup – no artificial colours, fragrances or crushed beetles*!

The key to a long-lasting, professional finish is to prep the lip really well. With that in mind we have created a four step guide to a natural red lip, so you can achieve this season’s most kissable look with ease, safe in the knowledge that it won’t smudge, budge or fudge your ethics!

Step 1.  Buff lips gently with a flannel and prime with a lip conditioner. Essential Care’s 100% organic Lip Silk balm is perfect for that – or our natural Concealer which has the added benefit of providing a neutral base colour.

Step 2.  Line the top and bottom lips carefully working from the middle of the lip outwards. Try Essential Care’s natural Lip Liner in Rose.

Step 3.  (Backstage Secret) To prevent fade, stain the lip with the lipstick first – apply with a brush, blot, dust with a natural powder then repeat. 

Step Four: Fill with red lipstick for a final layer then dab a slick of gloss right at the centre of the lower lip for added fullness.
